All About Me

      My name is Jose Moreno.  This year I am teaching  6th grade Math at Spring Oaks Middle School- Spring Branch ISD, Houston, Texas. I have two children: My son is currently studying Computer Science at UT, Austin. And my daughter is a senior high in WAIS.  I have lived in The United States for the past 20 years. I was originally from  Colombia (Not Columbia), South America.

       I love animals and the country areas. I enjoy painting with oils and acrylic, I also play soccer as a good goalie or forward. In this parenthesis of my life, I am working at school to inspire students, especially, the invisible ones or with no voice, such as Hispanics. 

 

       I started with the robotic idea when I noticed that our school was selected to teach robotics, I was so excited and I communicated with my students about the plan. But then the school informed me that we lacked the funds to buy the robots (sad).  I worked on a project for a year and I won the money for the first two EV3 robots.  Now, I have five EV3 Robots and two KIPR LINK. I  am looking for more. I will continue to inspire my students to work with robots, especially Hispanic girls. PORQUE SI SE PUEDE.
