Creating a Significant Learning Environment (CSLE)

The main core of a teacher should be to create a context to cultivate imagination, creativity, and inspire learners to connect their passions to the things they need to learn for their future. While, incorporating the support of the community.

 When I wrote the “Learning Manifesto” I described my point of view about the role of traditional education in our society and the value of digital education, especially on disadvantaged social classes. Today, I add the importance of creating an authentic learning opportunity to my role of facilitator engaging and motivating students to be analytic, deep thinkers, and  problem solvers. To develop technology skills to help students break the cycle of poverty.

As a learner facilitator, we need to use our knowledge to connect the dots, not collect the dots, guiding students through their personal development journey, where learners have choices, ownership, and voice. Where they construct new ideas and concepts.

Growth is the most important piece in human nature, we have the ability to learn daily. We most motivate learners to embrace challenges, to be persistently, and see mistakes as opportunities to improve. Making it possible to better contribute to the future of society.

​

 

 

Teachers who create authentic learning experiences and encourage intrinsic motivation on learners, can  help reduce the education inequality and increase the academic opportunities, especially on disadvantaged communities.  Where digital education is the cornerstone to expand their own knowledge and the quality of the community.
